When specifying curved glass for architectural projects, minimum bending radius isn’t negotiable—it’s defined by physics. Hot-bent tempered glass typically requires a radius 5-10 times the glass thickness, with standard 12mm panels needing minimum 1500-2000mm radii. Cold bending offers tighter curves for thinner glass but sacrifices tempering options. Understanding these constraints early prevents costly design revisions and fabrication delays. At Zhongbo

Structural silicone glazing (SSG) eliminates visible metal frames from building facades, transferring wind and dead loads from glass panels directly to the building structure through high-performance silicone sealants. This system achieves uninterrupted glass surfaces with superior weather resistance when properly designed and installed. At Zhongbo Glass, our 28-meter production capacity enables seamless execution of oversized SSG curtain walls. What is

Metal mesh laminated glass outperforms traditional wire glass in aesthetics, impact safety, design flexibility, and code compliance. While wire glass costs 40-50% less upfront, its safety limitations make it obsolete for modern projects. For fire ratings above 45 minutes or where occupant safety matters, metal mesh laminated glass is the defensible choice. Manufacturing and Construction Differences Wire glass embeds a

Magnetron sputtering is the industry-standard vacuum deposition method for applying ultra-thin silver-based coatings to architectural glass, enabling Low-E (low-emissivity) performance that can reduce building heat loss by 30-50% compared to clear glass. This process deposits multiple functional layers—silver for infrared reflection, zinc oxide for protection, and titanium dioxide for optical tuning—in precise nanometer-scale thicknesses under controlled vacuum conditions.
